Your cost is payroll and it's due every two weeks. Your revenue is invoices on 30- or 60-day terms with no hard assets behind them. Growth makes it worse — every new engagement means more payroll before more cash. This is the cleanest receivable-gap problem in small business and there are good tools for it.

What we fund here

Payroll bridge against billed work
$25K – $250K
Hiring ahead of a signed engagement
$25K – $150K
Software, systems, or office buildout
$10K – $100K
Tax bill or partner distribution timing
$25K – $150K

Ranges are typical, not guaranteed. Your terms depend on your business and the funder.

What underwriters look at

  • Client concentration and contract length.
  • Days sales outstanding — how long your invoices actually take to pay, not your stated terms.
  • Recurring versus project revenue mix.
  • Absence of hard collateral, which pushes the file toward cash-flow structures.

Questions

I have no collateral. Is that a problem?
It's normal for services firms. These files fund on cash flow and a personal guarantee.
Should I factor my invoices instead?
Sometimes, especially in staffing. If factoring is cheaper for your DSO, we'll tell you so even though we're not paid on it.
Can I borrow to hire?
Yes, when the engagement is signed. Hiring against a pipeline is a different, riskier conversation and we'll have it honestly.
What if my problem is collections?
Then borrowing adds a payment to an unsolved problem. Sometimes the honest answer is that you don't need capital.

Let's see what your numbers support.

Three documents to start: the last four months of business bank statements, a driver's license, and a voided check. That's the whole file to get options back.

FundMainStreet.com is a financing arranger, not a lender or a bank. We connect business owners with third-party funding partners and are compensated by those partners when a transaction closes; we disclose that compensation to you before you sign. Approval, terms, and funding are determined solely by the funding partner. Merchant cash advances are purchases of future receivables, not loans.
